Sewing Machine Cover

In my last post I mentioned a sewing project i was going to attempt, well this is that project, a sewing machine cover for my mum for xmas.(Which she was pretty impressed with)
I'm so happy with how this turned out since I've never made anything with a sewing machine before, only taken up pants once in a blue moon,lol  with a sewing machine i inherited from my nan.

The Pattern for this project came from 2 different books coz i couldn't deiced which one i liked the best  so i incorporated both. The main cover came from Creating Country Threads Vol 12 No 2 and the Applique came from Handmade Vol 22 No 8. I really enjoyed the Applique & embroidery part must be the paper crafter in me!! TFL :)

Well here are the last of my Christmas cards for this year, I'm done now to send out asap or the peoples wont be getting them to after Christmas, I've been so slack with Christmas this year but only a few more prezzies to go and a sewing project that i want to make for my mum, just have to figure out how to do it ,lol well i love a challenge might need to phone a friend for help. Wish me luck.

Well were off to visit Santa and sing some carols, which would be good if i wasn't so sick, (got a rotten cold) and the weather was a bit nicer, 2 years in a row we've had bad weather for the lions Christmas do.:(

Grinch Pills CASE

How cool is this little gift idea!! I totally CASED this from fellow demonstrator Vicki Hodgman, thank you Vicki :) Just love it!

To make this Grinch you will need:
Big shot
Top Note die
scallop square die-hat trim
1" cirlce- nose & eye
3/4 circle -pom pom
1/2" circle-pupil, & to punch  the nose
Black stampin Marker
Strip of dsp to wrap around pack of mini Nerds

Dressed Up Photo Frame

Last  Monday was our last Stamp class for 2011 and we had a Christmas break up with  Kris Kringle  to the value of $5. This was my KK, I bought this LOVE frame and decorated it with the tiny tags & Vintage vogue stamp sets & embellished it with the beautiful wings embosslits die & some bling & dmc thread.(alphabet tiny stamps non SU) TFL :)

Easel Desk Top Calendar

I found a tutorial for this desk top calendar box here, I changed the measurements as the Stampin' Up! cardstock here in Australia is A4 and the measurements didn't fit :(

So here are my measurements to make this box 
Card top-4 1/8" x 8 1/4" scored @ 4 1/8" & 6 1/4"
Box Shell-4 1/8" x 11 1/4" scored @ 1", 5 1/8",61/8" & 10 1/4"
Card Top-4 1/8" x 4 1/8"
Box inside- 5 13/16" x 5 13/16" scored @ 15/16" on all sides.
Notes for inside the draw 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" (copy paper)

Follow the same directions but use these measurements.

Supplies Used

• Cardstock-Wisteria wonder, whisper white
• Ink- Wisteria wonder
• Stamp sets- Clearly for you & Parlor prints
• Accessories-Lace ribbon border punch,designer frames embossing folder,extra large oval punch,sponge,whisper white 3/8" taffeta ribbon,vintage brad,dimensionals,calendar & mini gel pen(non SU)
