12" x 12" purse |
Last night was a special school holidays Easter craft night for kids at the Powlet Hall. We had 20 kids attend. They started off with a Easter bunny picture to colour in, then they made a cute little chick out of pom poms and pipe cleaners. After that they got to make the treat box & a choice out of the other 2 projects, most chose the bag. It was a lot of fun and afterwards we were rewarded with a yummy supper.
This cute bag is made from two 12" x 12" pieces of cardstock, one for bag base and the other for the handles, top and decoration.I found this bag over at stamp & scrap with Frenchie click
here to view her video tutorial. I also made up a template for the handles for this bag as Frenchie used ribbon on hers. I will attach the template below. The bunny on front of the bag is from
here and got the kids to cut out and glue on the front of their bag.

Treat box made by Kira-lee |
Cardstock cut @ 10 ½ “ x 7”
Score @ 3 ½ “, 4 ¼ “, 5”, 8 ½ “, 9 ¼ “, 10 “ (on 10 ½ “ side) turn and score @ 1” & 6” (7” side)
Fold all score lines. Cut up to the 1” score line on the bottom. For the top cut off to the 5” line, leave that section the cut off from the 8 ½ “ to the end, this is for the closure.
On the 4 ¼ “ & 9 ¼ “ score lines measure up 1” from the bottom, I use the off cuts from the top of the box as it measures 1”. Draw a line from each corner to the 1” mark, it should look like a triangle, then score with ruler and bone folder. This will make the box fold easier.
Add double sided tape or sticky strip to the ½ “ flap (on opposite side) and join to other end of cardstock to make your box. Fold flaps in to form the bottom of the box, tape closed. Fill with yummy treats or whatever. Push in sides of the box at top then fold top flap over and glue shut. Decorate.
